Lab Alumni

Jessika White is a senior majoring in neuroscience. She joined the lab in the summer of 2012. She is involved in many aspects of research in the lab. She is currently investigating the synaptic proteins that are altered due to hyperactivation of neuronal signaling pathways.

Crina Floruta was a Senior Business Fellows major and studied the influence of seizures on social behavior in mice. Her honor’s thesis was on the role of the mTOR signaling pathway in autism.
She is currently in a MD/PhD program at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Jessica Morrison was a Honor’s Neuroscience Major and studied the long-term effect of seizures on learning and memory.

She is currently in Baylor University Dental School in Dallas, TX.,

Marc Kilonda and his brother Lucien Kilonda graduated from Baylor in 2012 with a major in biochemistry.
During their time in my lab they examined the role of the mTOR signaling pathway in developmental epilepsy.

Nicole Wagoner was a Freshman Neuroscience Major and is examining whether early-life seizures produces
long-term changes in stereotopy in mice.
